I started my sewn fabric bag and accessories business in 2002 after I couldn't find a tote bag in the stores that I liked. Ever since a little girl, I had the basic sewing skills learned on my mom's treadle Singer, so I made my first tote bag using a Waverly print fabric! I kept on improving the quality and started selling in my online store here at www.pauljuliadesigns.com.
Time flies by so quickly and all these years I've been working mostly on R & D and front-end marketing. I've basically learned about business from having my own business. The key to success is to have the highest quality handmade bags and accessories and to give first class customer service. I appreciate all my customers and my motto is to make only the best quality items because these are the types of items I'd buy if I were a customer :).
I am not alone in this venture. My husband, Paul, is the backbone. He takes care of the accounting, customer communication, shipping, obtaining supplies, development of features, design, template making and helps with cutting and assembly. Our business is growing thanks to our customers and loyal following, as we always have you in mind whenever we create something new.
