We recently designed a small size shoulder bag and have continued to refine it and now we've added some more depth to it.
A customer saw this cute bag, but she wanted a larger one to fit her notebook. She likes it because she can free her hands to carry other things. Here is the bag we made for her. It's so elegant with the color and fabric she had chosen.
Then, a regular customer saw the design. And she wanted not one, but two! She likes the size and the simple yet elegant design. She also likes the concept of free hand since the strap is adjustable and it can be carried over the shoulder.

We've just completed a weekender size for a client who loves dogs. And she wants to have this so she can carry it while walking with her dogs. Isn't she sweet?
We love the challenge of making interesting designs, and this was one of them. We usually make small to medium sizes, but we're happy to design an oversized one as well. 
What's great about this tote bag is its pockets. Everyone loves pockets! I do, too. So, this bag has one outside pocket with a zippered closure on the front and another on the back with velcro closure. Each side has a pocket for water bottle. Then, inside there are six open pockets on all four sides!
When I want to buy a mass produced bag, I always have problems with the straps--it's too long or too short or too uncomfortable. Our clients have similar issues. So with this custom designed bag, we made sure the straps are comfortable with a winter jacket as well as summer t-shirt.
Designing a bag and making it real is labor intensive--from getting the size and features and materials correct, figuring out the pattern, cutting and sewing the pieces, and then assembling them all into the completed product. But, seeing the client smile and in awe of her new custom bag makes this venture worthwhile.
